Antilop High Chair: Swedish Design At Its Best

Well he done did it.  Baby H loves practicing his kung fu moves and using a combined effort of kicking and pushing back he managed to break our Graco high chair.  So M and I (avid researchers that we are) were online pronto checking out the next best thing in high chairs.  We were quite surprised with what we found; the Ikea Antilop high chair was rated best amongst brands such as Bloom, Svan, Stokke and Peg Pereggo.

Brand: Ikea ANTILOP

MSRP:  $19.99, $4.99 for tray *amazing I know!*

Key Features:

– Weighs in at 7 lbs

– Easy to clean

– 5 minutes to assemble

– Safety belt included

I Love It Because: There are no crevices/cracks for errant crumbs to get caught in and fester, it wipes clean so easily, it looks amazingly stylish for the price, it takes up barely any space in our condo

But I Wish It Had: Really, this high chair is lacking NOTHING!

So, Reco or No?  A huge and resounding YES!  We were considering either this or the Boon Flair  (with the pneumatic lift) but honestly when it came down to dollars and cents, you really can’t do better than $20!  However, for a younger babe who might need a bit more cushioning behind the head, this may not be your first bet.  But since Baby H is now almost 10 months old, he gets major usage out of this chair for his three meals and 2 snacks a day.  Because he is *attempting to* feed himself, I appreciate the ease of no fabric to clean on this wipe-me-down-and-im-done chair.  For practicality, style, and overall price – the ANTILOP fits the bill completely.
